Dreamer's Pool
by Juliet Marillier
4⭐️
Short Synopsis: Adult Historical Fantasy story where a women who is about to die in a very bad primitive jail is saved by a faerie (fay) in exchange in being a “wise women” where Prince Oran lives, where very mysterious things just happen to be afoot.
📚
My Thoughts: I was worried for nothing about finishing this fast enough to review for a challenge, turned out I enjoyed this fantasy world. There is 3 point of views that were a little predictable that they would somehow be helping each other in the end. I liked Grim and Blackthorn but wasn’t that interested in Prince Oran’s character. The mystery and the supernatural story really had me interested. I was very curious how the author would end things and was thankful that it’s not a cliffhanger (big pet peeve). I am curious about the other two books in this trilogy and have added them to my tbr.
📚
I would recommend this to those who like historical fantasy, myths and supernatural. I picked this book from my Library’s Blind Date Book challenge and enjoyed it.
