I love the Time River series and this latest installment in the series is no exception. This book features a single dad sheriff, adorable kids, a mystery with lots of suspense and action, and two people who have dealt with loss and trauma finding love with each other. I absolutely loved Ezra and Savannah together! Ezra was a such a sweetheart who deserved so much better than the hand he was dealt, and decided to pay it forward by helping a woman who is struggling and needs a friend. Savannah is in town, solely to search for her missing sister, but she is hiding a lot of secrets and isn't completely forthcoming with Ezra in the beginning. What I loved is that they really helped each other with their demons and their scars and their jouney to healing. They both came in broken, but with each other, they were able to love and to find peace and be happy and get what they deserve.
