Play Like a Girl

This was adorable! I think it accurately captures what it's like to be in seventh grade, because let's face, seventh grade is almost always terrible. Things are changing, friends go in separate directions, cliques start forming. Misty struggles with this throughout the book, eventually learning to accept her weirdness and find friends who like her exactly the way she is.
The art style also fit well for the story, and I appreciated all of the details included about actually playing football. All in all, a great sports middle grade graphic novel!
