"But the problem about loving the very thing you hate is it destroys you to hurt it in return."

oh these two.
I never knew I needed a good enemies to lovers in my life.
Add in the hockey aspect and I am sold.

So far this book by this author is my favorite, Quin & Oak will go right up there with my other hockey loves.
There is so much in this book that it's easy to get sucked into it and I was not immune in any way whatsoever.
The animosity between these two just jumps off the pages but then when it shifts you can't help but be there as well for that too.
Consuming. That is one word I would give these two. They get consumed by their "ritual" of sorts but then realize it isn't just that at all.

“Want you,” I mutter when his teeth nip at the junction of my neck and shoulder. “Want you so fucking much.”

There's something that gives the flutters about 2 men who are what Quin & Oak are and what they represent. There is also the unmistakable feeling that comes with knowing at some point that there is going to be a heartbreaking hard point and it always comes when you least expect it.
That was a rough one to read, and right after a realization. It hurt even more.

Truly I am glad I grabbed this book blindly and I can now add a new author to list for all things hockey romance.
