New Suicide Squad, Volume 3: Freedom
by Brian Buccellato, Mike W. Barr, Sean Ryan
Man after an amazing volume 1, a pretty decent volume 2, we get a pretty bad volume 3. There's still some funny moments in the first few issues but this one takes a huge nose dive. Especially the ending of this volume which focuses on solo stories of deadshot and katana.
What I liked: Some of the humor was fun in issue 1-2 and then...dies. Quickly. Anyway more good...uh...we get a fun version of...wait what am I even saying.
What I didn't like: All the characters felt lifeless. Everything building up matter not here after the first two volumes. No remorse or anything for Reverse Flash. Fuck the one shots of the members, they're so bad.
Overall this is pretty awful. I'll have to drop this series. Oh wells. Had fun for volume 1 and 2.
