On His Paintbrush
by Alina Jacobs
Finally the pattern has been broken! A couple with open communication, understanding, and forgiveness that did NOT require a grand and/or expensive gesture. I have enjoyed this author's books but the extreme dramatics were getting old.
Archer and Hazel are a cute couple. They didn't all madly in love within days of meeting. This book takes place over months which I appreciate. Their growth is natural and he opens up about his past more so than his brother.
The antagonist in this book held very little power as both Archer and Hazel remained rational. They had insecurities and admitted they were frazzled but never went off the deep end as other characters have.
This was a funny, sexy, and endearing story. Can't wait for the next.
