i wanted to like this SO BADLY but i really struggled with it. the first half was rough and i nearly gave up a few times, but oliver was a delight and i kept pushing through. also, it’s in first person which is another thing i very much struggled with.

it definitely got better toward the middle, but then the end was kind of rushed and just... okay? also, WHY ADD A CONFLICT IN THE LAST FIFTEEN PAGES? ugh.

i didn’t hate it, but i don’t know that i’d read it again.
