Kent State
by Deborah Wiles
CW: mass shooting, gun violence
I'm not even sure I can do this book justice with a review. This book has a very unique style in that it is told in verse from multiple perspectives. As a current, but not native, Ohioan, I knew very little about the Kent State shootings prior to reading this book. It was clearly very well-researched and I learned so much in so few pages. This was my favorite book that I read in September 2020 and I'm looking forward to also listening to the audiobook because I hear it is very good as well.
