"I knew I was gay like I knew the sky was blue. I never thought to question it until someone taught me to."
___
It's all about revenge and nothing more.
Falling in love, and surviving without rage wasn't what it was supposed to be.
___
Oh man, this book hit home, I can't even tell.
Lex's story is tragic, traumatic, and the cruel truth for too many women in reality.
How Lex rose above her pure rage for Luna, but never fully let go of who she is, was incredible to read.
It was exactly the same with Luna. The way she questioned who she was taught to be and who she truly is, buried deep inside her, was inspiring.
Seeing them find their way to each other in the end was worth any pain.
___
This book highlights the role women still finding themselves in the patriarchy and the long way feminism still has to go. It was eye-opening, and at times uncomfortable to read because the truth hurts like hell.
