HOLY CRAP. How have more people not read this? It’s about a hospital that was basically left to fend for itself during Hurricane Katrina and the decisions the doctors made (including to give patients lethal doses of morphine and versed when they didn’t think they could be rescued). I didn’t want to stop reading! The epilogue is 100% a pandemic trigger but it was SO GOOD. I highly recommend!
