Received for an honest opinion.

Initially I really liked this book. I loved the premise, of two friends connecting after such a long time and I loved Nick. But as the book developed it just got hung up on the wrong stuff. All this worry Eden had about Nick cheating when there was no evidence really annoyed me. It came out of nowhere, I felt like that whole angle wasn't fully developed and arose more to try and give weight to her claim than something she had experienced first hand. The whole angle just got really annoying, there were so many other ways to screw with them, Lucinda was a great character you love to hate, but she was pushed to the side. I'd have loved to have seen a showdown between her and Mary Lou and see nick stand up for himself more. I also found legion to be a confusing character. Like I said, I initially liked this book but it tried too hard and made too many leaps and bounds and dodged the stuff you really wanted to happen. I am interested in Dynassy's book but am wary about it.
