Yet another novel created solely as a vehicle for the relationship of Spenser and Susan. Parker is pushing the idea of them as soulmates very obviously (yuck, no thanks). I am reading crime novels, right?

At least Hawk was around. If the next book is anything like this one, I might have to drop this series.
