This novella follows our FMC Maxi as she navigates the work-life balance at a time where both work and life are presenting scenarios out of her control.
Maxi is intelligent and emotionally strong, but she comes off very cool and at times emotionless. Her thoughts and actions don't always align and as a reader it was frustrating. She wasn't likable. All the supporting characters were though. I would gladly read a full-length book featuring Maxi and her circle just for the happiness everyone BUT her brought me.
