Possible Pop Sugar 2020 Prompts: made-up language, passes the Bechdel test, AI character
MY FIRST BOOK WRITTEN BY AN AUTISTIC PERSON WITH AN AUTISTIC MAIN CHARACTER! This was some heavy speculative fiction and scifi, possibly a little too heavy for me, but I can't tell you how nice it was to read a book with an authentic autistic narrator. She was unashamed of her neurotype and open about it, and it made me feel so much more seen and understood. Although this book was a little much for me, it will forever hold a huge spot in my heart for being one of the first books I ever truly saw myself in.
