I didn’t know much about whales before this book, and it is not a book I would have chosen on my own. This is what I love about book clubs - stepping out of my comfort zone. The author is very knowledgeable but makes the science accessible for the non-paleontologist. Fascinating vignettes about his studies in the field of whale fossils and their living relatives.
