I think erotica is a really interesting way to analyze attitudes and cultures and customs, and this book didn't disappoint. In between (and during) erotic scenes I got to learn a lot about how the LGBTQ+, and especially trans, community was doing around the 1980s-2000s. It offered a lot of gender analysis concepts, and was very interesting.
