I really loved this book. The worldbuilding was excellent and the characters compelling. I was gripped right from the start. 

My one issue with the book is that it's so short. The entire book felt like set up for a story which isn't really going to kick off until book two - it was excellent set up, but I wanted it to be the first 300 pages of a 6-700 page novel, not a 300 page novel in itself! If the sequel were out I would have moved straight onto it but instead unfortunately have to wait. 

Despite the short length I highly recommend this book and really want to see where the series goes next.
