I don’t think I’ll ever read a better true crime book. It is truly incredible to be living at the time that the killer was finally caught. I hate that Michelle wasn’t around to witness this. It killed me to read where she said that she would never pursue another case like this. If she had just made it to the end, I hope she would have been in the clear of the consuming life. She and her family deserved that. Her writing is powerful and gripping and haunting. I particularly loved her badass letter epilogue. I rented this from the library but I’m going to purchase a copy. RIP MM, “It’s chaos, be kind.”
