I’m so dam conflicted. Aspects of this are five stars. Other aspects three. The fight scenes though, dam Sanderson can you please show Samantha Shannon your ways and maybe she can teach you how to make beyond amazing characters with some feminist finesse! Because it was lacking. To be fair his newer books are probably fine that comment is solely based on The Final Empire. Still a great fantasy amazing magical system, stunning world building, the Bronzed Highway yes. The characters just really dragged this down for me… and if the second book mentions Vin's lack of womanly body I’m going to throw the book away.
