I liked better than Tattoist of Auschwitz and really did enjoy Cilka as a character. Genre isn’t my favorite and writing is more plot driven than eloquent or insightful. But entertaining read and informative in the sense of the story-telling brings to life the horrors of the Russian Gulags and is a testament to the strength of prisoners & survivors like Cilka.
