This was a fantastical wild ride! I really enjoyed the whimsical mess of The Number Nine Plaze and all it beholds. It’s how I would picture a fun place as a kid, somewhere to do it all and run rampant. Zander is able to spend five weeks with his grandma who OWNS this entire wonderful building. This is where he meets Natasha and together they have the actual adventure of a lifetime. But there’s darkness lurking, magic missing, suspicious things afoot. This was a fast paced middle grade read perfect for those who crave mystery!
