I very much appreciate the style in which the author wrote this book. She made me HATE the main character, which is most certainly the point. It’s a great glimpse into what I imagine is the experience of many people working within the publishing world and she so realistically highlights the burden of racism and many micro aggressions. Well done, but a bit slow imo.
