Red Harvest
by Joe Schreiber
I actually enjoyed the majority of this book, though I found the start exceedingly boring. The characters are a bit lacking in my opinion, as I had a difficult time engaging emotionally with any of them. No character ever had enough time in the spotlight as a person to actually be fleshed out, meaning the connection was just weak. Despite this, the descriptions of the actual action really bring the scenery to life in a way that made me just want to forgive some of the flaws of this book and allowed me to get lost in the action.
It's no literary masterpiece, but I read it in only two days because I just couldn't put it down. That being said, I can't justify four stars because of all the other flaws I found.
