This series was suggested at the end of Eva's book Kings of Chaos. I really liked the action and sex in THAT book and since this is a finished series I had hoped that it would be just as exciting and hot.

While I like the plot. It's not as fast paced or hot. Mercy is kind of annoying. She's irrational and makes poor choices. She's an armature with little to no training acting as if she can take on an entire empire. She throws tantrums and while she claims to understand the gravity of her situation she clearly does not. Also she over analyzing everything.

Levi and Rory are pretty basic. Typical big, hot guys with easy smiles and are empathetic. They put up with her dramatics.

Sloane is the only mysterious and intriguing character. I wish this book was written with the guys POV because I want to badly to know what makes him tick.

The cliff hanger was unexpected.
