I really enjoyed this retelling of Little Mermaid and I think the story will never be the same to me again. I liked this way more than the Disney version.

This is really a nice book if you're looking for something entertaining, kind of like a fairy tale. Or maybe you're looking for a fantasy that isn't seven books and two novellas and you'd prefer a standalone that you can finish in a couple of days.

I've seen a lot of people call this an enemies to lovers. And while that's true I don't think there's enough enemies to lovers romance in this book that you should pick this up if you're really in the mood for an enemies to lovers romance. It's like wanting an enemies to lovers and reading the first book of Folk of the Air (Cruel Prince) - you'll be disappointed.
