The American Roommate Experiment
by Elena Armas
I was so excited for this to come out because I absolutely loved The Spanish Love Deception (it's one of my fave books) and I so desparately just wanted to read Rosie and Lucas's story. Let me just say, for this being Elena Armas's sophomore novel, I was blown away. Everything about this was just perfection in every single way. The slow burn between Rosie and Lucas, and the pure friendship they built with each other was so beautiful to read as it unfolded. Their chemistry was palpable and undeniable. Lucas was just such a sweetheart and you could tell just how he adored and cared for Rosie from the very start. There were so many cute and funny moments and I was just squealing into my pillow on more than one occasion. Lucas would speak Spanish and tell Rosie it meant something generic or silly but in reality, he was saying some really poetic and romantic things and I just swooned. Rosie is my girl; she deserves the world! And Lucas is definitely the one to give it to her. This honestly exceeded all of my expectations, and dare I say it, may be better than TSLD. I was LIVING for seeing Aaron and Lina in this book and knowing they were happy!
