first book of 2023 finished and boy did it hurt. this book captured grief and growing up and maturing so beautifully. sara was a character i connected with and loved immediately. i’m pretty sure i cried the entire first 50 pages (and most of the last 50 pages tbh 🥲).
i did find that it dragged quite a lot during the middle and i just didn’t really enjoy emilie’s perspective as much, which is no fault of the book! i just don’t have as strong of a connection with her character which took away from the enjoyment a little :,) i still thoroughly enjoyed!
CAWPILE rating: 7.00 (4 stars exactly :))
