This novel started out excellently and was full of promise. The plot relied on convenient happenings, as the story progressed we were told and not shown events, the ending of the book felt rushed and incomplete. Edugyan is a brilliant writer and I loved her descriptions. The story needed a bit of tweaking to get a better rating.
