The Couple Next Door
by Shari Lapena
The first 70% of the book is great, lots of twists and turns, narrative from different characters and some red herrings too. I found it pretty easy to read and generally enjoyable, but didn't think much of the twist, and had guessed the culprit correctly by about half way through. It didn't take away from the book itself, and I would have probably given it a solid three stars, but the ending was incredibly poor and was really disappointed in the way the blasé treatment of mental health by the author.
Fun and a bit of escapism if you can see past the shallow understanding of mental health.
