“I’m Thinking of Ending Things” by Ian Reid

I really had to think long and hard how I felt about this one… I feel like this is one of those that you either love it or hate it and you either get it or you don’t. With that said I did not love it and I’m not sure I really got it…

Overall it started kinda slow but kept my interest enough to keep reading. Then I feel like it just needed to get to the point. The last half starts really getting into it and has you thinking of things that could possibly happen or have you guessing how it ends.

I kept thinking of the man from her childhood window is going to end up being a stalker/killer or maybe her drivers ed teacher is going to end up being a stalker/killer. At some point I thought maybe the boyfriend was her window stalker… Then there was the whole weirdness with his family that had you pondering if they were crazy people and she was somehow related to them.

Then the ending came… So he was just a crazy person that made all this up and the relationship with her never happened? He was just a lonely crazy guy that ended up being a school janitor that then killed himself?

I also watched the movie on Netflix after reading this… it was… weird.
