Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams
3.75

While I think this book took a while to live up to the majestic cover it sucked me in a with (yes, I judge books by their cover, I'm sorry..), and had me thinking this would be a 2.5-3 star read, once Queenie started to grow into herself, so did the star count. I think some of the issues external to Queenie's life could have been explored or fleshed out a bit more, but it is so...refreshing to read about mental health, as well as the reasons people shy away from thinking about it. Queenie has issues, but hey, so do I. The characters are real, and flawed, and quirky, and people I'd want to spend my time with.

Also, if you're into audiobooks, I highly recommend that version of this book. The narrator was fantastic, and the text messages and emails were handled very well.
