Her Last Walk Home
by Patricia Gibney
Her Last Walk Home by Patricia Gibney is another gripping installment in the DI Lottie Parker series. Even though I haven’t read all the books in the series, I did read book 1 and enjoyed it, and I didn’t feel like I missed anything jumping into book 14. Lottie Parker continues to shine as a leading female in law enforcement, embodying resilience and depth, which adds to the appeal of this crime thriller.
Michelle Moran’s narration brought the story to life with skill and nuance, enhancing the experience. The plot is fast-paced with many moving parts, and Lottie's personal life and her complex relationship with Boyd are seamlessly woven into the case she’s working on, adding a layer of realism and connection.
The book may have a high chapter count, but don’t be alarmed—it’s a quick, engaging read or listen. Many thanks to Bookouture Audio for the advanced copy of the audiobook! This installment is a must-read for fans of crime thrillers and strong female detectives.
