Alive and Wells
by Bailey Hannah
I genuinely cannot believe that this is a debut novel because it's amazing! I think this is the best cowboy/rancher/small town romance I have read in a long time. Those kinds of books are all the rage right now but this was perfection. I am a sucker for a book that features an FMC who is running from a bad relationship and starts over in a small town and falls in love with the grumpy local and shows her what love really means. I urge you to be cautious though, because this book does have a lot of triggers and heavy topics, but I thought the author handled them so well and I felt for Cecily so deeply. I loved how patient Austin was with her, how he never tried to change her and how he showed her what a real man is like and how they should treat a woman. I adored all of the side characters and the ranch and small town vibes. The spice was just perfect and there were some laugh out loud moments in this book. So many swoonworthy scenes too that had me kicking my feet and giggling. Austin Wells DELIVERS when it comes to romance and he is so good with all of the small gestures and little things that matter most. The slow burn was so worth the payoff! I highly recommend this and think you should read this ASAP. I cannot WAIT for the next book in the series!
