librarybonanza 's review for:
The Dream Thieves
by Maggie Stiefvater
I enjoy. I continue series.
This quote about sums up Steifvater for me. She catches me unawares with these beautiful sections of descriptive landscapes and people and relationships while maintaining the forward momentum of her plot. Just little pockets of beauty that you could easily overlook--much like what she describes.
"Though hundreds of stars were already visible, the sky was still a deep blue, a whimsical touch from an idealistic painter. The mountains on the other side of the valley, however, were night black, everything the sky was not. Dark and cool and silent. And Between them at the mountains' feet, was Henrietta itself, studded with yellow and white lights" (364).
