As someone who isn't overly familiar with roller derby, I found this engaging and it got me interested in learning more about the sport. While I personally have no desire to become a roller derby skater (lack of coordination on skates ftw) I find their dedication and resilience inspiring. It looks (and is) badass, but it doesn't look easy at all. I loved following the journey of two girls new to the sport who grew better and more confident in their skills as the story progressed, as well as the exploration of friendship found within the pages.
