4 stars - I really enjoyed some parts of this book, and others felt fairly disjointed to me. The romance was incredibly steamy, I loved the new characters, and seeing more of what was happening in Velaris. There wasn’t nearly enough action for me, particularly with how long the book was. What was there was really good though. The romance felt a little anticlimactic…? Overall I enjoyed it, but it definitely wasn’t my favorite.
