Mockingbird
by Chuck Wendig
This book is gruesome and fast-paced and it's heroine is gruesome and foul-mouthed. It didn't have as much depth as the first one but the pacing was still excellent. It mostly focuses on Miriam herself and her past, and her struggle between being a good person and a bad one. And oh yeah, there's a serial killer that she has to hunt down and stop, despite the fact that all every meal in the last few days has been coffee and cigarettes.
