had a really great time with this- while maurice must remain my favorite by forster, this is a beautiful book (tho straight) with mesmerising language and the authors usual wit!
i enjoyed the story as much as the philosophical questions he rises and thought it a fair and well thought through depiction of women especially because that was sometimes lacking in maurice. im also an enjoyer of british society and it being comically written and the "room with a view" gets extra funny-points for describing british tourists as annoying (im writing this as a german so it's also a self callout)
read it if you can!
