Secrets of a Charmed Life
by Susan Meissner
I really loved this historical fiction story. It starts in present day as an old lady grants an interview about what life was like during the London bombings of WWII. I like that the present day bits are few and far between. Once you are immersed in the past, it stays that way for a long time so you really get swept away in the main story.
This story is full of missed opportunities that wouldn't be so terrible if there hadn't been a war on. I got sucked right in and read it almost straight through. I gave it 5 stars because I love the story of the sisters and liked reading about the bombings through a child's eyes.
