This was a very well done book. Those that have seen my review for Wonder know I am very critical of "inspiration porn" type books that feature disabled characters (like Wonder). This, was not at all, like that. There were some things I wasn't 100% comfortable with (Aven taking issue with being called disabled, for example), but overall it was really well handled from my point of view (as someone that has my arms and doesn't have Tourettes).

This is a book that has disabled characters rather than a book ABOUT disabled characters, if that makes sense? The overarching mystery and storyline were significantly more forefront than the disabilities while also still acknowledging the disabilities of each of the characters.

Another note is that at one point Aven mentions getting a Navajo jewelry maker to sell her necklaces etc at the park and I...appreciated that? It wasn't "someone to sell Navajo jewelry" or some version...It was a Navajo woman to sell HER jewelry. Seems silly to have to mention but others don't always make that distinction.
