I’d been thinking about this book recently, and decided to reread before diving into the sequel. I wasn’t as attached to either Lance or Reagan this time around, and I did notice a few instances where the writing felt a bit unpolished, but it was still a good time. The book did what it came to do, it was entertaining while it lasted, and that’s enough for me.

Everything else I said below still applies.

I found this book on Instagram and started it on a whim, not sure what to expect—but it was actually really fun! I always love stories where a supernatural world is hidden alongside our own mundane one, and Fairview did that brilliantly. As a whole, their world-building was unique, a fun blend of old and new, of classic myths and their own imagination.

This book also has a fun cast of characters, plenty of banter, and good smut—so, basically, it covers all the bases. I definitely recommend it, and will be eagerly awaiting the next book!
