A really truthful but also beautiful look at some the harsh things in life that people have to go through as they grow up. I really appreciated how topics such as grief, bullying, and assault were mentioned and portrayed to various extents in a realistic but also empathetic light. It was heartbreaking to read at times, but I am glad I read it and I think I will be thinking about this book for a long time.
