Wolf Pact by Melissa de la Cruz
4.0

THIS WAS FUN.

Wolfpact is a spin off of sorts to the Blue Bloods series. It’s a series of novellas that help explain some of the events that happen behind the scenes between the end of book 5 and book 7! It is not necessary to read these novellas but I am honestly really happy that I did!
In terms of what I disliked from these novellas, it’s really just the same issues I have with the Blue Bloods series…the writing is a bit weak/underdeveloped at times and the pacing is a bit strange in certain parts BUT because this is a compilation of novellas it isn’t as irritating as it is in the main series.

Like I said earlier, these were fun! I read all four in one sitting. They were fast paced, they didn’t introduce to much new information so they were easy to follow. The new characters were relatively likeable, plus my girl Bliss was back in the spotlight in this compilation. There’s a nice touch of romance here, but it is done in a way that respects the characters and other events going on in the story. This had the fun feel from the beginning of the BB series, when I was comparing it to Gossip Girl but with a fantasy twist. Definitely renewed my excitement for the series!! Not crucial to the series by any means but if you’re into the series I’d say it is worth taking the time to read this.
