Gorgeously written collection of essays about themes that I’m generally interested in, it just didn’t captivate me for one reason or another.

The author is a poet and I’m generally not a fan of poetic prose, so that’s probably it. There were also a lot of film/literary references that didn’t feel natural to me, not sure how else to put it.
