chantaal 's review for:
The Glittering Court
by Richelle Mead
Who are all these people tagging this as a fantasy? It's an alternate history of our world, with the names of countries changed. Like when a six year old puts a sheet over themselves in an attempt to hide and it's so obvious they're that giant lump on the bed, but you pretend they've disappeared anyway because that's what they want.
I understand that this is supposed to be a trilogy with Mira and Tamsin's stories in the next book, but that just meant they came in and out of Adelaide's story in extremely unsatisfying, obviously trying to build up suspense for the other books and totally failing ways. I wanted more Mira and less everyone else, but alas. Gotta start with the rich white girl rollercoaster (eh, more like a kiddie train) of stupidity, romance, and emotion first.
As for the whole climax of this book, haaaahahahahahaaaaaaaaa

This was good for mindless reading to take up time during my commute, but not worth much more than that.
