This book was surprisingly dark! I knew what it was about but I was still surprised! I really enjoyed the interrupting narrator and if you like sass and gore you should pick this up. Reminiscent of Lemony Snicket, Roald Dahl, and 13 Clocks. The youngest reader I would recommend this for would be 10 but I think teens and adults would enjoy this as well. The cover I think gives the wrong impression. This book is bloody and intense. But so good.
