3,5/5. Between YA and adult fantasy, a bit closer to YA I guess but definitely better than most book from this genre. I like the Asian mythology and fantasy, sometimes we see more and more in recent months/years but that was kind of new and non-existing quite recently. The story is good, a bit simple in its overall plot, but entertaining and well done. I have to admit all those Asians name gave me a hard time to remember and associate them with what they are. The fantasy aspects and the magic were good enough for me to catch my attention; I will look into the next one, see how it will evolve. Maybe not a must read, but a good enough book that I enjoy!
