The premise here was really interesting for me, all about a contract killing gone wrong. Like very wrong 😮 You get two viewpoints that switch every chapter, one from Ren who is a hired assassin but she does follow her version of a moral code before taking on jobs and then Julia a mom who was on a college campus with her daughter, Cora the day a shooting happens. I kinda think that’s all I should share here because this went in a few unexpected directions. There were also a couple minor twists I did see coming but overall I would say this one did surprise me. There were some cat and mouse vibes that upped the tension and if you enjoy thrillers with strong female characters this was pretty good.
