Overall, this was a perfectly good romance, and I appreciated the emphasis on queer sex positivity. The romance itself was also sweet. My issue was that I never really got attached to either of the protagonists, or invested in the story. While I did like and would recommend Satisfaction Guaranteed, I liked Stetz-Waters’ other book, Worth the Wait, more and would suggest prioritizing that one. :)
Representation
Representation
- queer protagonist (attracted to multiple genders)
- lesbian protagonist
- queer side characters
- sapphic romance
Graphic: Sexual content
Moderate: Death, Drug use, Toxic relationship
Toxic relationship: one protagonist was previously romantically involved with one of her professors, and there’s discussion of it throughout the book. While it was not a healthy relationship, it was consensual; there’s no sexual assault involved. Drug use: mainly by side characters, but described on page nonetheless. Death: occurs prior to the story, but is a central theme of the book.
