Although I'm not an athlete, I decided to try this book as I am always looking at ways to eat to be healthier and lose some weight. The book started with explanations about what a plant based diet is, and what the benefits are. It goes on to tell you how to start the diet, how to speed up your metabolism, what macronutrients are and what meat substitutes you can use. There is specific information about the diet for athletes and a comparison of the simple version and the version for athletes, but I think anyone looking to switch can benefit from this book.
